Netstep Privacy Policy
We have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment
to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination
practices for Boulevard NetStep. This includes admin pages, public pages and
the NetStep application.
- Webserver request tracking
We record IP Address, time, date and URL information of each HTTP request
made to our servers. In addition the servers track where you came from to
get the page you requested.
This information is used to produce general traffic statistics and to help
with account security.
We use cookies in parts of our web site, cookies to manage sessions following
login.
- Personal Contact information
Our site's personal registration form requires you to give us contact information
(like names and email address) . From time to time we may use contact information
from the registration form to send you information about our company and promotional
material from some of our partners. The contact information is also used to
contact you when necessary.
Unless otherwise stated, only aggregated demographic information will be
shared with partners individual information (like e-mail addresses, phone
numbers, addresses) will not be shared.
- Personal demographic information
We collect come demographic information (like date of birth and gender) for
security in the event that you forget your password. This information will
also be used to give aggregrated customer information to potential partners.
We intend to have special relationships, such as "Powered by" partners, business
partners, co-branded sites. Unless otherwise stated, information provided
will only be shared with these partners in an aggregated form, individual
information (like e-mail addresses, phone numbers, addresses) will not be
shared.

- Copy protection system
We use the management terminal hard drive numbers to help with cafe authorization,
the harddrive number is stored in the authorization database and checked against
you ID and password when you start the Boulevard NetStep application.
We do this as if is vital to the integraty of your account that your ID is
never used in another location.
- Business transaction information
User session data is collected and held "in trust" on behalf of users and
locations that provide public internet access. Locations will only have access
to individual session information that occurred within their location, users
(with an ID) will only have access to their own session information, this
could span a number of sites. Session information will also be held on behalf
of the user and location community. In aggregated form it will be used to
give locations and users information on where they stand in the community
(like No1 cafe or No 1 user).
All session information is held on a secure sever, it is considered confidential
and will not be distributed. Development staff who have general access to
the database are required to sign confidentiality agreements these terms would
part of the conditions of any sale of the company should this occur.
- Business contact and location information
The physical location information will be used by advertisers to enable them
to target a specific location with information. This could be a specific cafe
or all sites in a region. For example an hotel in one town might want to target
information at travelers in a city that is on the way to them. If an individual
fitting the profile came to your location they would receive the ad. Individual
information (like e-mail addresses, phone numbers, addresses) will not be
considered confidential and not shared. Customer profile in your location
will also be treated as confidential and will only be available to managers
you have assigned.
- Business facilities information
Facilities information is used to give you a listing in the Boulevard NetStep
cyber cafe directory. You may opt-out of this at any time. The idea of the
directory is to promote your cafe to travellers, and to help advertisers decide
wheather to buy time at your location or not (a percentage of the revenue
from advertising is shared with the location). Individual information (like
e-mail addresses, phone numbers, addresses) is displayed in the public directory
but will not be shared in bulk.
Choice/Opt-Out
Our aim is to provide genuine value, but if you feel this is not been
achieved our site provides users the opportunity to opt-in/out of receiving
communications from us.
